Do you remember who won at the 2000 Grammy Awards? It's our job and even we don't know, but we do remember that cut-down-to-there, green palm print Versace dress that Jennifer Lopez wore!
Nearly 13 years later, J.Lo, now 43, is confessing to Harper's Bazaar what happened to that notorious dress ... and it doesn't sound diva at all.
"I have that at home," Lopez told the mag. Fair enough, but then she continued...
"The other day, my housekeeper put it on a mannequin in my spa, where I get my hair and makeup done. She sent me a picture. She was like, 'You like this dress?' Um, yeah, but I don't know if I like it out in the house!"
Wait. Her spa? In her house? Where she gets her hair and makeup done? Okayyy, noted.
J.Lo is infamous for her tour and appearance demands (recall the stories about white furnishings and flowers?), though she continues to deny those claims as a myth. Instead, she says she strives to keep her life unpretentious.
"I make it as simple and as beautiful as I can because my life is kind of big. So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids' hair, pick up their clothes—that makes our life beautiful, you know? There's something very elegant in that."
It's elegant to dress yourself or take care of your kids? Well aren't we all just tres chic!
