NBC celebrated Rihanna's birthday last night by releasing a promo for next week's episode of "Law & Order: SVU" ... an episode that mirrors her abusive relationship with Chris Brown.
As RiRi spent the day with her on-again boyfriend, the new commercial made its debut. And the show isn't exactly playing it coy with the similarities to the two singers' volatile past.
"A familiar story of two celebrities, intertwined by abuse," the voiceover says as video of a battered and bruised female singer are shown ... images very similar to the unforgettable shots of Rihanna after Brown's brutal assault.
And, of course, there's a "twist." Check out the promo above to find out why Chris may want to skip the episode, which airs next Wednesday.
