Attention all soap opera fans!
"All My Children" and "One Life to Live" are returning to TV!
The beloved shows are getting a new home on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network this summer. O's network will air the first 40 episodes of the daytime dramas since they moved online.
When the Emmy-award winning soaps were first cancelled in 2011, fans begged Oprah to revive them on her network. The media mogul could not fulfill their requests, explaining that there was not a large enough following to sustain the dramas.
Well, looks like O is singing a different tune now!
"For 2 years u posted, tweeted, Facebooked me..I heard you. Starting 7/15, we're having a summer fling w/ the soaps!" she tweeted.
Oprah is a self-proclaimed soap opera fan. Sounds like she'll be enjoying the dramas, too!
"One Life to Live" and "All My Children" will air on OWN Monday through Thursday for 10 weeks, beginning July 15th!
