Looks like those adorable students from Brazil will have no shortage of celebrity tweets to correct!
Grammarly, the world's leading writing enhancement app, pulled the top 100 most-followed musicians on Twitter. Proofreaders were asked to review each musician's 25 most recent tweets for spelling and grammar errors.
Here's highlights from their findings:
• Hip hop musicians make the most writing mistakes on Twitter (18.4 mistakes), followed by R&B artists (15.4 mistakes). Latin musicians make the fewest writing mistakes on Twitter (6.3 mistakes), followed by pop musicians (10.0 mistakes).
• The best spellers are rock musicians (with .8 mistakes per 100 words). The worst spellers are hip hop artists (4.1 mistakes per 100 words).
• Hip hop musicians are the worst at grammar (14.3 mistakes per 100 words), followed by country musicians (12.1 mistakes per 100 words). Latin musicians are the best at grammar (5.4 mistakes per 100 words).
So, which musician had the fewest writing mistakes -- spelling and grammar -- per 100 words? That would be Beyonce Knowles. With only 2.1 mistakes per 100 words, Queen Bey could be queen of the spelling bee!
This may come as a shock, but Jessica Simpson had the 9th fewest errors.
As for the worst? DJ Pauly D had a whopping 55.6 mistakes per 100 words. Snoop Dogg was second worst, with 35.8 mistakes (does anyone else find it disturbing that Pauly D has more mistakes than someone who smokes pot all day?).
