We smell Oscar noms!
The very first trailer for David O' Russell's "American Hustle" (who also directed "Silver Linings Playbook") debuted on ABC News -- and we can definitely tell there will be Oscar buzz around the A-list cast.
"American Hustle" tells the story of a con artist (Christian Bale) and his partner in crime (Amy Adams) who are forced to work with a federal agent (Bradley Cooper) to turn over other cons, thugs and politicians -- specifically the mayor of Camden, New Jersey.
Bale, Cooper, Adams, Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Lawrence star in the '70s drama -- and the story is believed to be loosely based on the 1970s-1980s ABSCAM scandal.
