57 and fabulous!
Kim Cattrall, who played sexually voracious vixen Samantha Jones on "Sex and the City," celebrates her birthday today.
Her character famously said, "I'm a trisexual -- I'll try anything once." No topic was taboo, from swinging to midgets to funky tasting ... junk.
The show debuted on June 6, 1998 and pop culture hasn't been the same since -- transforming Kim from "that chick in 'Mannequin'" to a feminist and fashion icon.
The 94-episode series ran for six seasons, spawned two film spinoffs and the TV prequel "The Carrie Diaries."
And it's pretty crazy how much the lives of the show's stars -- including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon -- have changed since its 1998 debut.
They've gone on to become award winners and proud parents. The supporting cast has earned accolades too; one appeared nude on Broadway and one will even appear in the next "Hunger Games" movie.
