Whitney Port is a true fashion maven!
The former "Hills" starlet is enjoying life after reality TV stardom, creating new collections for her fashion label, Whitney Eve, and her new jewelry line, Bits & Bobs.
toofab's Rachel Hoffman caught up with Whitney on the set of her Joico webisode series, “Drab to Fab,” helmed by International Artistic Director Damien Carney, to talk about her latest Whitney Eve collection and winter's hottest fashion trends.
Toofab: How do you describe the Whitney Eve girl?
Whitney: The Whitney Eve girl is someone who loves fashion and takes pride in it. She wants to be really comfortable but also be fashion forward. She's not afraid to take some risks, she loves color and prints and texture.
Toofab: Which stars' style inspires you for Whitney Eve?
Whitney: I get my inspiration from girls on the street. But, I love the style of stars like Kate Bosworth, Diane Krugar and Rihanna – girls who do different things with fashion.
Toofab: What are your favorite trends for winter?
Whitney: What I'm wearing the most right now is anything with leather paneling. In my collection, I have a lot of faux leather trousers and a sweatshirt with cool leather sleeves. Also, I have some great graphic tees that can be dressed up or dressed down. You can put on a cool necklace and trousers or wear it casually with jeans and Converse.
Toofab: Awards season is coming up, so what trends do you expect to see on the red carpet?
Whitney: I think we're going to see a lot of lace and more jewel tones -- garnets, deep reds and emerald green.
