Chris Pine must understand the meaning of "awkward years"!
The "Star Trek" star sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday, where the talk show host decided to surprise the actor with a picture from his past.
The comedienne started off the interview by pulling up a picture of Pine's father, who starred on the NBC series "CHiPs" back in the '70s, to show the audience how much the father-son duo lookalike.
Next, to Chris' surprise, DeGeneres threw up a vintage snap of the silver screen hottie back when he was in high school.
And just to make sure everyone got the chance to see the action star in all his nerdy glory, Ellen posted the pic on Instagram.
"He was handsome then, he's handsome now, and he's even handsomer on my show tomorrow," she captioned the snap yesterday.
The 33-year-old definitely had some epic sideburns back in the day, and we're loving his haircut!
