"Footloose" was released in theaters 30 years ago today -- and Kevin Bacon danced away with our hearts.
Hard to believe that Tom Cruise and Rob Lowe were reportedly up for the role of Ren McCormack in the classic 1984 flick, as it's come to be one of Kevin's most memorable movies to date.
While it wasn't a hit with critics, the movie was a box office success. It also has one of the best soundtracks of all time, with songs like "Almost Paradise," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Let's Hear It For the Boy," and Kenny Loggins' title track.
The flick also spawned a remake and a musical.
