Gastric band surgery helped Sharon Osbourne lose more than one hundred pounds in 1999, but the massive weight loss didn't make "The Talk" cohost feel good about herself.
"I felt [like] such a cheat when I had that band on my stomach, and people are saying, 'You look wonderful!'" she recently told Entertainment Tonight. "And I'd go, 'Thank you, I just have to leave and vomit.'"
Osbourne's weight wasn't even the real issue -- it was her struggle with food. "We all have our own little addictions that we do not in moderation but too much, and mine is food," the 61-year-old explained. "I mean, I am a food addict."
Years later, the former reality star has learned to control her urges with the help of a low-carb Atkins diet, but that doesn't mean she hasn't slipped up. "I'd be fibbing if I said I don't cheat. Because I do cheat," she said. "I cheat a lot on my diet. We all do."
But now, Osbourne doesn't let those moments define her. "I don't guilt myself out," she revealed, "because the next day, I'll start with my Atkins breakfast sandwich, and I'm right back on it."
