"Orange is the New" ... blue!?
Ellen Pompeo took to her WhoSay page to share an "OITNB"-inspired pic, where she's looking tough in a photo with her "Grey's Anatomy" costars. "Blue is the new black #8daystillgreys #greysanatomy," she captioned the hilarious homage to the Netflix series.
If Meredith Grey were a member of Litchfield prison, who would she be? The actress seems to be a fan of Tricia (and her cornrows), while Sara Ramirez is clearly channeling Alex.
Pompeo recently dished about the new season of "Grey's" during a panel discussion fellow ABC star Kerry Washington (via BuzzFeed).
"We are doing a lot of flashback stuff. Very challenging ... A lot of people say how can you stay on a show 11 years," she said. "After 11 seasons you have to stay so alive and present. You can't disappoint the audience. You have to bring it."
The blonde beauty also revealed she doesn't see herself acting after the long-running series ends.
"I definitely don't have a strong desire to act after Grey's," she said. "I definitely feel myself transitioning. I don't find acting terribly empowering. For the place I am in my life, I think my age, once I hit 40, I feel differently. I don't necessarily want to work for other people."
