Fans have been waiting 31 years for this moment: The first trailer for the incredibly-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" just made its online debut -- and we can't even contain our excitement.
Click play above and watch it in full screen. You're welcome.
Picking up years after the original trilogy, which ended with "Return of the Jedi" in 1983, Episode VII stars both familiar faces and an entirely crop of new ones.
Unfortunately, those hoping to see Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewie or anyone else from the original series will be slightly disappointed in the preview -- which gives us a glimpse of John Boyega in a Storm Trooper costume, Oscar Isaac as a Rebel pilot and Daisy Ridley riding around a desert.
We also catch a glimpse of a shadowy figure with a three-pronged light saber as the voice over warns about The Dark Side ... and finally, The Millennium Falcon takes flight as John Williams' classic score booms.
Boyega, Ridley, Isaac, Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow all join Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new flick.
"The Force Awakens" won't blast into theaters until December 18, 2015.
