While most people like to keep it 1-on-1 after celebrating their nuptials, Jen and Justin were joined in Bora Bora by buddies like Chelsea Handler, Jason Bateman, Courteney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel.
It was definitely an interesting choice, but one Justin has a great explanation for.
"We had thought about it; we could just do a normal honeymoon, or we could go with some friends, keep the party going, relax, and have fun. It was really special, it was really beautiful," Theroux tells EXTRA.
"It was a fantastic honeymoon, so much fun" he adds.
The "Leftovers" star also opened up about his wife possibly taking his name.
"I made her change both names, so she's now Justin Theroux," he joked. When asked if he thinks she ever would ever become "Theroux," he added, "I don't think it would be great if she did. I think 'Aniston' is going to stick with her if she likes it or not."
