Kate Winslet may be an Oscar winner -- but that doesn't mean she feels like a movie star!
The actress stuns on the cover of WSJ Magazine's October issue, looking sleek and sophisticated with understated makeup, slicked back hair and a crisp white blouse.
Inside, the gorgeous 39-year-old gets candid on divorce, marriage and reveals the unexpected place she keeps her coveted Academy Award.
The star, who turns the big 4-0 early next month, has managed to keep most aspects of her life private. After having her first and second marriages end in divorce, it's something she's thankful for.
"No one really knows what has happened in my life," she reveals. "No one really knows why my first marriage didn't last; no one knows why my second didn't. And I'm proud of those silences.”
The star, is now happily married to Ned RocknRoll, and makes no apologies for splitting with her exes to finally find Mr. Right.
"I know lots of people who are not in the public eye who have gone through several marriages," she adds. "I really do, and it's just those are the cards that life dealt me. I didn't plan on its being that way and f**k me, it hasn't been easy, you know."
Something that has seemed to come easy is the "Insurgent" star's career success. The actress is universally considered a movie star, but don't say that to Kate's face!
"I've always been so uncomfortable with that," she admits. "I just don't feel like one, and I don't live like one either— not the way I imagine a proper movie star living."
Kate further proved that she's super grounded when she revealed the silly reason she keeps her Oscar -- which she won for 2008's "The Reader" -- in her bathroom!
"The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, 'I'd like to thank my son and my dad'—and you can always tell when someone has, because they're in there a little bit longer after they flushed," she teased. "They'll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It's hysterical."
