Demi Lovato has some explaining to do!
The "Heart Attack" singer appeared in the October issue of Complex magazine, where she not only bared her bod but also got very candid on former bestie Selena Gomez.
In her interview the 23-year-old was asked if she still speaks to her on-again off-again friend, to which she simply responded, "Nope".
"When you're young and you get older, you change and people change," she elaborated. "You have things in common, and then all of a sudden, you don't. It's just a part of life."
The story, which generated multiple headlines, caused the songstress to take to Twitter to set the record straight on the interview and the status of her and Selena's friendship.
"Interviews are done months and months before the issue is published," she wrote. "[A] lot can change between then and now. Don't read into the bulls**t."
Well there you have it!
It's safe to say these two are still friends -- and they even snapped an adorable selfie together last month (above).
"Look at how #coolforthesummer we are.. Friends for years #sameoldlove," Demi captioned the snap.
