Love is dead.
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are no longer ... and apparently haven't been for months!
"There was no drama, they've been apart while working. They still care about each other," a source tells People. "They still have love for one another. They are on good terms with each other and remain close."
The two reportedly split earlier this year, due to their busy schedules, but were photographed together again back in May. They haven't been seen by each other's sides since August.
The couple, who co-starred in the "Amazing Spider-Man" films and dated for four years, were notoriously private.
"See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason—because it's all so speculative and baseless," she told the Wall Street Journal when asked about split rumors earlier this year. "Once you start responding—once you're like, 'No, that's not true' -- then they're like, 'Well, if we push enough, we'll get a comment, so let's see what else we can make up."
"I understand the interest in it completely, because I've had it, too. But it's so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don't talk about it," she added.
"There's probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it's false, I would rather just let it be false."
We'd rather it were false this time too ... alas.
Remember the good times:
