The "Chi-Raq" star opened up about the possibility of tying the knot again in a recent interview with DuJour magazine.
"I feel like marriage isn't for everyone," he told the publication. "A friend of mine put it the funniest way. He said, 'If you heard that there was a 50/50 chance of living or dying when you jump out of a plane, you probably wouldn't go skydiving."
The actor was previously married to Mariah Carey but filed for divorce from the star in 2014, after six years of marriage. The former couple share four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, and while the split has been amicable, the father-of-two still doesn't feel great about the odds.
"There's like a 50/50 chance of a marriage working," he continued. "If it didn't work out for you the first time, and you still survived it, you probably shouldn't do it again."
Cannon says he "highly doubts" he'll get married again but still considers himself a "hopeless romantic." While he's open to finding love again, he does admit he has trouble opening up.
"I've rarely let people that close to me. A lot of it comes with me having trust issues," he revealed. "I've been that way since grade school. I don't trust many people. Who knows where I'll be when I'm 60. At 35, I'm not even looking to be in a relationship."
