Reese Witherspoon has only gotten better with age!
The actress covers the February issue of Harper's Bazaar, where she opens up about her career, reveals what helps her "relax" and how she's planning to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Witherspoon has one impressive resume -- from starring in movies like "Legally Blonde" to "Wild" -- Reese clearly has no problem taking on diverse roles.
Now, at 39-years-old, the actress says she's definitely become much more confident than she was earlier in her career.
"I'm much more open now," she reveals. "In my 20s, I was scared of everything. I didn't know what my career was. I didn't know why people liked my movies. I was wary of interacting with people. I was 25 when 'Legally Blonde' came out, 26 for 'Sweet Home Alabama,' and 29 for 'Walk the Line.' And I was scared, really scared. Now I feel like a different person. It's a great thing getting older. You are who you are; you say what you mean."
Though the blonde beauty has her hands full with her three children, Ava, Deacon and Tennessee, in addition to running her own production company, Pacific Standard, she still finds time to relax ... sort of.
"You know what I like to do? Reorganize bookshelves and my sock drawer," she says. "[My husband] Jim's like, 'What have you been doing for four hours in your closet?' I'm like, 'Um, reorganizing my underwear?'"
The "Cruel Intentions" star has a lot to celebrate this year, too -- she's turning the big 4-0 in March and plans to celebrate with her family.
"You know, live music, eating, kids [with friends and family in Nashville]," she says of her birthday plans. "I wanted to hike Machu Picchu. But then I was like, 'Wait, I did enough hiking last year.' I'm done with hiking for a minute."
