Justin Bieber Says He "Doesn't Want To Be Held Down By Anything" After Hailey Baldwin Hookup

Following the 21-year-old's admission to GQ magazine that he "really loves" the 19-year-old model, the publication released his full interview where the "Sorry" singer paints an even more complicated picture of his relationship with Stephen Baldwin's daughter.

"I don't want to put anyone in a position where they feel like I'm only theirs, only to be hurt in the end," he tells the mag. "Right now in my life, I don't want to be held down by anything. I already have a lot that I have to commit to. A lot of responsibilities. I don't want to feel like the girl I love is an added responsibility.

The singer, who previously had an on-again-off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, admits that he's made mistakes in the past and doesn't want to hurt Hailey, who he considers a close friend.

"I know that in the past I've hurt people and said things that I didn't mean to make them happy in the moment. So now I'm just more so looking at the future, making sure I'm not damaging them. What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard...I just don't want to hurt her."

For her part, the 19-year-old seemed to echo her rumored boyfriend's words on Tuesday night at the 2016 amfAR New York Gala. While she didn't deny their close relationship, she did set the record straight on their status when asked out his GQ interview.

"I think it's awesome. It wasn't a surprise to me. I knew it was coming out," she told E! News. "We are not an exclusive couple. He's about to go on tour," she added. "Relationships at this age are already complicated, but I don't really like to talk about it because it's between me and him. Honestly, the rest of the GQ article comes out tomorrow."
