Heidi Montag's on a therapy-show roll!
After a 2015 stint on WE tv's “Marriage Boot Camp” with her hubby, Spencer Pratt, the 29-year-old Heidi's going into another house, to repair her relationship with another member of her family.
This time, it's her mom, Darlene Egelhoff, on Lifetime's upcoming reality show, “The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition.”
And based on a promo clip Lifetime released on Friday, it's not going to be a quick fix.
Heidi's on the outs with Darlene over some remarks the latter made on “The Hills,” the reality show that made Heidi a star. The topic: Heidi's famously extensive plastic surgery.
In case you need a recap, Darlene's thoughts included:
“It's very weird and awkward. I'm sorry.”
"How do I go and say that of course I thought you were more beautiful before? I thought you were younger, I thought you were fresher-looking, I thought you were healthier."
Ouch.
But in the clip, Darlene and Heidi enter a group therapy session and tearfully struggle to make amends.
“I was just desperate to communicate with her in any way,” says Darlene between sobs, “and I just thought that was the only way I could do it. I would do anything to be able to take that back.”
“I honestly felt like you ripped my heart out of my soul, when I needed you so badly,” Heidi responds, herself in floods of tears.
Darlene's regret is obvious, but she insists, “This is a good, healthy pain that I'm feeling, and this is part of the process, because we haven't addressed this.”
“Mother/Daughter” concerns, as the title suggests, six mother-daughter pairs who enter a house for eight weeks of therapy, courtesy of Dr. Debbie Magids.
And if you still have any doubts about how juicy this show's going to get, let us assure you: Heidi and Darlene, the people fighting over plastic surgery insults from half a decade ago, are the normal ones.
Other guests include Courtney Stodden, who famously married her actor husband Doug Hutchison back when he was 50 and she 16.
Now 21, Courtney is convinced her mother, Krista Keller, fell in love with Doug - to whom Courtney's still married.
No, really.
We don't want to give too much away, but you're going to see tears, you're going to see drunkenness, you're going to see screaming - you're gonna see fabulous T.V.
“The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition” premieres on Lifetime this coming Tuesday, March 1st, at 10/9c!
