Daisy Ridley's practicing self-love.
The "Star Wars: The Force Awakes" star took to Instagram to respond to criticism accusing her of being too thin and setting "unrealistic expectations" of beauty. She took issue with one user in particular, who posted a photo of Ridley as Rey, with the caption, "I can't believe the unrealistic expectations I'm setting for young girls. Who cast me anyway? Don't they know real women have curves?"
The actress didn't hesitate to call out the user for body shaming. "Real women are all shapes and sizes, all ethnicities, all levels of brave, have families, don't have families," she posted. "I'm a 'real woman' like every other women in this world."
Daisy ended up deleting her response after fans started attacking the user who posted the meme. Ridley then took to her own Instagram account to clarify what she meant by her response and urged her fans to stop bombarding the woman with callous messages.

"Guys it was not my intention for anyone to send messages to that poor person that posted the original picture," she wrote. "My whole post Is about being kind to each other, so please refrain!"
Ridley concluded her post with one final thought: "Kindness isn't going to cure the world of all its awfulness but it's a good place to start."
