Talk about a gold rush!
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth decked themselves in flashy gold outfits for a theme party. The occassion? Luke Hemsworth's wife Samantha was celebrating her birthday.
Partygoers made sure to capture the festivities and peculiar party outfits on Instagram.
Cyrus' tour partner and lead singer of the Flaming Lips, Wayne Coyne, shared a pic of himself and the "Wrecking Ball" singer posing with a life-size statue of a gold horse. Coyne sported gold ram horns, while Cyrus wore a gilded jersey emblazoned with the number 10 and accessorized with a gold medal, sunglasses and glittery eye shadow.

"Gold party with the fam!!!!" Coyne captioned the photo.
The birthday girl's hubby Luke also took to Instagram to show off his golden cowboy ensemble—a combo of shiny pants, button-down shirt, hat and gun holster—as well as brother Liam's take on the theme, which consisted of metallic gym shorts, a Gold's Gym tank (get it?) and a bucket hat decorated with a golden pot leaf.

And it appears the activities were just as unique as the revelers' clothes; the grouped skipped traditional party games in favor of painting bare bottoms in order to create butterfly paintings with the butt imprint.
It's safe to say the resulting pieces aren't fit for the Golden Age of art, but it sure does look like Samantha's birthday squad had fun creating 'em!
