Extravagance is key when it comes to Beyonce -- and her "Soul Train"-themed birthday party was no exception.
The singer celebrated the big 35 with one incredible bash in NYC on Monday. Knowles was spotted heading into the soiree with hubby Jay Z, sporting one over-the-top looks featuring killer cleavage, fishnet stockings, gold platform heels and big hair.
Jay looked equally era-appropriate in a paisley patterned button-down and gold chains. In another pic from inside, it looks like he changed into a Jimi Hendrix getup.

Others in attendance included Bey's sister, Solange, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Usher, Jourdan Dunn, Diddy, Cassie, and Kendrick Lamar, who all went all out for the costume party.
But the highlight of the evening belonged to the birthday girl herself, who showed off her bumping and grinding skills on her hubs in a candid video shared online.

The celebrations came after Knowles announced she was postponing a Wednesday night concert in New Jersey earlier in the day -- saying she was under strict doctor's orders for vocal rest. The show was rescheduled for October 7.
