Hats off!
Zooey Deschanel couldn't stop gushing about her baby girl—and her funny fascination with hats.
That's right, the "New Girl" star revealed her daughter can't get enough of the fashion accessory when she stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Monday.
"She is really special," Deschanel said. "She says a lot of words, but she's really obsessed with hats right now."
"My mom wears hats a lot and we had dinner with her and as soon as my mom came up, Elsie, my daughter said, 'Hat! hat!'" the brunette beauty continued.
The actress then went on to reveal that her daughter will yell "hat" if she sees a stranger wearing one, and that the tiny tot also enjoys identifying the toppers that sit at the top shelf of mom's closet.
"I think she's really proud that she recognizes the hat," the 36-year-old explained.
But does her little girl enjoy wearing hats as much as she likes pointing them out?
“She rips them off, but they're so cute," says Deschanel. "She likes wearing little bows and stuff in her hair."
And while the "She & Him" crooner is loving motherhood, she admits that she finds traveling with her little one particularly tough.
"She's great on a plane but they stop letting people go first with babies and there's so much stuff and I was really excited about this privilege that you get to go on first if you have a baby," she complained.
