"The View's" hot topics segment on Tuesday quickly turned to talk of Kanye West's meeting with Donald Trump, after photos surfaced of the two in Trump Tower early that morning.
Of course, the ladies had something to say about the surprising meet-and-greet.
"I think if he was going to perform at the inauguration, that could mean something," Sunny Hostin said. "We know Trump has had terrible outreach to the African American community, and we know that you love him or hate him ..."
"I don't think this is going to help!" exclaimed Whoopi Goldberg.
"Whether you love him or hate him this could be a symbolic gesture," Hostin said.
Hostin pointed out Kanye's past remarks about Republican President George W. Bush during "A Concert for Hurricane Relief" on live TV in 2005.
"Kanye West was the person that said George W. Bush doesn't care about black people and George Bush has said that was a real low point in his presidency," Hostin said.
"Maybe he'll be the secretary of selfies!" Joy Behar joked.
