In what was by far the most elegant show of this awards season, the 2017 Oscars showed us some breathtaking gowns and some ensembles we just can't understand. From classic elegance to questionable trendy looks, the Oscars red carpet revealed an array of one-of-kind showstoppers.
The red carpet saw lots of golds, silvers and nudes on form fitting gowns while embellished numbers and strategic accessories complimented each look. From hair, to makeup and shoes – Here are TooFab's 10 best and 5 worst looks from the Oscars.

10 Best Dressed:
Hailee Steinfeld in a stunning sheer floral Ralph & Russo Couture. The newcomer stole the show in her breakout hit "The Edge of Seventeen" earlier this year, and this dress on the Oscars red carpet is sure to do the same.
Emma Stone in a festive Givenchy Haute Couture that speaks to the dancing nature of her "La La Land" character.
Taraji P Henson looking very classic in Alberta Ferretti. The "Hidden Figures" star kept her look very simple pairing a diamond necklace with the simple off-the-shoulder gown.
Janelle Monae taking risks in Elie Saab. From the tulle to the stunning embellishment throughout, this is one look nobody but Monae could look pull off.
Emma Roberts in an environmental friendly, and stunning Armani Prive.
Nicole Kidman stunning in an Armani Prive look made for her slender frame. Although some may argue that she played it safe, we can't blame Kidman for sticking to something she knows she will look flawless in.
Ruth Negga in a gorgeous red custom Valentino. Negga was a vision in this stunning Valentino number. Her look was among the few color risks of the night, and she absolutely pulled it off.
Alicia Vikander in a spunky velvet Louis Vuitton. We cant help think that Vikander is ready to dance the night away in this adorable number that totally remindes us of the red-dancing girl emoji.
Halle Berry in a layered Versace gown. Ok, although we have many questions about her hair, Berry's gown is undeniably beautiful.
- Brie Larson in a gorgeous Oscar De La Renta. Larson looks like a vision in this off-the-shoulder number and perfect side pinned hair.
5 Worst Dressed:
Dakota Johnson in a familiar and not so flattering Gucci. We have so many questions for Dakota. Starting mostly with "why?" and ending mostly in... "why?"
Kelly Ripa in "The Butterfly Effect" version of a dress by Carolina Hererra. There is nothing about Ripa's look we want to remember.
Charlize Theron in a very safe Dior dress. For the most part, it's pretty but it just so basic.
Scarlett Johansson in a sheer Alaia number. There's not too much to love here. It has pretty colors, but does nothing to show off Scar Jo's rockin' bod.
- Naomie Harris in a white hi-lo Raf Simmons dress. Though a different look than what we've been seeing on the carpet, this gown kind of looks like it really just wants to be a cocktail dress.
