Nicholas Hoult and Henry Cavill aren't superheroes in the first trailer for Netflix's Iraq War drama "Sand Castle."
The actors, best known for their roles in blockbusters like "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "Batman v Superman," respectively, play American soldiers in the early days of the second Gulf War. Hoult takes the lead as Private Matt Ocre, who quickly discovers Iraq is not where he wants to be and goes as far as to try to injure himself to get out of a mission to repair a water pumping station damaged by U.S. bombs.
However, it looks like the mission quickly escalates and they'll be fighting for their lives.

Glen Powell, Logan Marshall-Green, Beau Knapp, Neil Brown Jr., Parker Sawyers, Sam Spruell, Sammy Sheik, Tommy Flanagan also have roles in the Netflix original that starts streaming April 21.
Meanwhile, expect to see Cavill back in spandex in November when "Justice League" comes out. No official word yet on when and if Hoult will return as "X-Men" character Beast, but a few other cast members in the franchise let it slip during recent interviews that they're shooting a follow up to "X-Men: Apocalypse" this summer.
