It's a big Father's Day for Mathew Knowles, whose daughter Beyonce has given birth to her long-awaited twins — but his eagerness to celebrate got him in trouble with Beyonce's fans.
TMZ reports that Beyonce gave birth to a boy and a girl on Monday, but a "minor issue" has kept them in the hospital for a week.
Knowles confirmed the arrival of the twins in a tweet on Sunday morning, announcing “They're here!” and including a picture of balloons with a Happy Birthday message.

So far there has been no update on social media from Beyonce or Jay Z about the twins - and looking back on Beyonce's pregnancy pictures, it seems likely she'll reveal her babies to the world with another elaborate photo shoot. For now, fans will have to make do with her father's birthday tweet.

Back in February, Knowles said that Beyonce didn't even tell him she was having more children with Jay Z before she made her pregnancy announcement on Instagram. "I was shocked," he said. "Let me tell you what happened. I got a first text, and I was like, 'Why is this person saying congratulations?' Then I get a second text from one of my students at Texas Southern, and I was like, 'What are you talking about?' He was like, 'Go to the web.' I didn't know myself."
