“Younger” costume designer Jacqueline Demeterio has three easy tips for fans who want to dress down their age.
"Shorter hemlines, denim and accessories," she said Wednesday night during the TVLand series' regular after show hosted on Facebook Live.
“I showed a lot of denim on Liza this season, it was heavy,” she said. “I mean there's always a lot of denim, but I think it brings a little bit of youthfulness to her so there were a lot of denim jackets with different designs.”

In case you aren't caught up, Liza (Sutton Foster) is a divorced woman in her 40s pretending she is in her 20s to get a job at a publishing company. And part of her convincing facade in looking physically younger is her wardrobe.
And although Demeterio wants the fashion to match each character's pay grade, she feels like since it is a Darren Star show, she has to "hype it up a little bit."

View Story"I think a lot of people are like, 'Where do they afford these clothes?,' but no one wants to watch real publishing clothes," she said.
Her solution is to pair high-end designer looks with items from Zara, Topshop, H&M and Esos to have a believable look for their budget, while staying fashionable in New York City.
