Almost 30 years after Chucky made his debut on screen, the "Child's Play" franchise is still soldiering on with the release of its seventh film, "Cult of Chucky." The pint-sized killer has murdered hundreds, gotten married, played dad to a sexually confused kid and, in the most recent outing, figured out how to transfer his soul into multiple dolls and humans at once.

"Cult" ends with the Good Guy Doll transferring his soul into Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif, daughter of Chucky's voice, Brad Dourif) before escaping a mental asylum. Nica/Chucky is last seen giving a big kiss to wife Tiffany, who has taken over actress Jennifer Tilly's body since the events of the oh-so-meta "Seed of Chucky," as they drive off together to cause more mayhem.
So, where the hell do you take the franchise after that?
"It's almost like 'Thelma and Louise,' it's just like they're driving off in the distance together but you don't really know where they're going," Tilly told TooFab earlier this week. "
"I love that ending of the movie. [Director Don Mancini] called me up and he was very delighted, he's always so excited about what he does, and he said 'I wrote a scene for you! You're gonna love it! You're gonna be hot!'" she continued. "And at my age, I'm always very intrigued, like 'Oh hot, hmm?' I remember like 20 years ago, I was playing those hot roles and it's funny because my character Tiffany is supposed to be the same age as she was roughly 15 years ago when we did the last Chucky movie. Which is kinda hard, I'm hanging on by a fingernail! But he loved it because he loves 'Bound.'"
How Chucky's Killer Bride Jennifer Tilly Became An Unexpected Horror Icon
View StoryIn "Bound," Tilly and Gina Gershon -- who actually talked Jennifer into doing "Bride of Chucky" way back when -- play lesbian lovers caught up in an affair while also trying to scam the mob.
"It's sort of a tip of the hat to 'Bound,' it's a little bit of an homage. And I mean, I loved it," she continued. "I loved having that scene with Fiona. I think she's an amazing actress and a weird thing was when she was coming out of that building and walking towards me, I saw Chucky. I saw her dad Brad, because she's channeling Chucky, she's that good. And you know, it's very intriguing. It's a very intriguing scene to shoot and I'm really excited to see where it goes."
And while all signs point to Tilly returning for "Chucky 8" when the day comes, she joked that might not necessarily be the case.
"With with my luck, here's the next movie: Open on a wide expanse of snow, you see a tiny dot in the distance. It's a red car it starts to approach you in this scene. All of a sudden you hear bang bang bang, car door opens, Tiffany's body flies out, car drives on, Tiffany lies in the snow with a slow puddle of red blood pooling from her head. Open credits roll."

View StoryEven if that were to happen -- which, hopefully it won't -- she added that always a way to undo it.
"That's whats great about being in a supernatural movie is that Tiffany doesn't die and if she dies - she dies in 'Bride of Chucky' - she comes back to life again," Tilly added. "That's a very convenient little construct of being in these films."
We also asked Mancini if we'll see more of Tilly's Tiffany in future films. "Yes, I would say probably yes to that," he said, "It depends on if she's nice to me, we'll see."
"Cult of Chucky" is available now on Netflix, Blu-Ray and VOD.
