Myeshia Johnson -- the pregnant widow of U.S. Army Sgt. La David Johnson, who was among the four soldiers killed in Niger earlier this month -- said the condolence call she received from President Donald Trump was anything but consoling, and stars including Chelsea Handler, Tom Hanks, Alyssa Milano and Rosie O'Donnell are livid.
Johnson appeared on "Good Morning America" on Monday, where she said that during the phone call, Trump told her that her husband -- whose name he couldn't remember -- "knew what he signed up for, but it hurts anyways."
'The View' Rips Trump for Battling Widow of Fallen Soldier: 'Our President Has Got to Stop Right Now'
View Story"It made me cry because I was very angry at the tone of his voice and how he said it," Myeshia told ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos. "He couldn't remember my husband's name. The only way he remembered my husband's name -- because he told me -- he had my husband's report in front of him. And that's when he actually said La David. I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband's name. And that hurt me the most because if my husband is out here fighting for our country, he risked his life for our country, why can't you remember his name?"
Following Myeshia's interview, Trump tweeted: "I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!"

Regarding the deadly Ambush, Myeshia said the only things she was told was that there was "a massive gunfire" and that La David had been missing since Oct. 4.
Trevor Noah Jokes Melania Trump, Not Donald, Should Start Making Calls to Families of Fallen Soldiers
View StoryWhen Stephanopoulos asked what Myeshia said to Trump, she replied, "I didn't say anything. I just listened," adding that she was "very upset and hurt" when she got off the phone.
"It made my cry even worse," she added.
When asked if there was anything she'd like to say to Trump now, Myeshia paused for a moment and said, "No. I don't have nothing to say to him."
Well, some people do, including Hanks, who told CNN, "I'm only knowing what I read in the newspapers and what have you, and it just seems like it's one of the biggest cock-ups on the planet Earth, if you ask me. This is a tragedy of the utmost consequence, and it goes much longer beyond who's going to come out on top of the news story. I think it's very sad."
Others shared their disgust with Trump and sadness for Myeshia on social media.
Hmmmm. Should we believe a President who has lied 1,318 times in 275 days in office or the grieving widow of a fallen hero? https://t.co/meJV46HrAv
@Alyssa_Milano
It was only a matter of time before you started fighting with widows. Shameful, undignified, and demented. https://t.co/k18X2tKLJA

So what do the two Gold Star families (Myeshia Johnson, Khizr Khan) that Trump has openly attacked have in common? Anything?

We don't believe you. You are a con man. Nothing you do is respectful. Leave this woman and her family alone. You've done enough damage. https://t.co/rUJ3za32OS

Being defensive is the ugliest thing around. Watching trump defend himself is so nassssty. It's the most weak, selfish, pig move.
