"Riverdale's" Angel of Death has officially spread terror around the small town and Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) will no longer stand for it.
This week, the red-headed heartthrob enlisted the help of the school's football team to form the Red Circle, a vigilante group designed to protect the students, teachers and family members of Riverdale. The episode ended with Archie sending a threatening message to the masked murderer, as he's flanked by his also-masked (and shirtless) squad.
TooFab chatted with Charles Melton -- Archie's friend, teammate and fellow Red Circle member Reggie Mantle -- about how the cast prepped for that final moment.
"That was a cool scene to shoot," Melton said. "Props brought dumbbells and a barbell on set, so in between takes I was doing curls, like push presses and everything, getting a nice little pump before the scene. It was pretty intense."

View StoryMelton added that there was a lot of symbolism behind Archie's decision to expose his face, while the rest of the team remained hidden.
"Archie is provoked you know," Melton said. "He's very unafraid and his dad was shot. I think he puts himself out there to garner attention from whoever the next hit is. He's pretty much pinning a target on his back."
So what's to come now that the killer's been put on alert? Melton wouldn't say much, but teased "an epic showdown between the North Side and the South Side."
He added, "It's going to be pretty sick."
"Riverdale" airs Wednesdays at 8pm on The CW.
