Sound the alarm: Trevor Noah just referred to President Donald Trump as "woke."
On Monday afternoon, Trump made a racially insensitive "Pocahontas" comment while honoring Native American WWII heroes, but Noah explained the comment was intended to offend Senator Elizabeth Warren, who claimed for years she was of Native American lineage -- which may not be true at all.

View Story"Is Donald Trump racist? Yeah, but in his own shitty way," the "Daily Show" host said Tuesday night. "He's hitting Elizabeth Warren for saying she was Native American when she wasn't -- something she's never apologized for or owned up to."
From 1986 to 1995, Warren listed herself as a minority, claiming -- without any proof -- that she had Native American heritage. When she was a Harvard Law professor, the university even touted Warren and her claimed lineage as proof that the institution's faculty was indeed diverse.
Noah explained the New England Historic Genealogical Society "looked into" the case in 2012 and found "no proof of Warren's self-proclaimed Native American lineage," which Noah finds "problematic."
"That would be like finding out I'm completely white, I have no African blood, and yet I wrote the book, 'Snacks for Blacks,'" he joked.

It's one of those things people both genuinely believe and also don't question enough because let's face it -- being part Native American is cool, but just part Native American," he said. "Like, enough that you're interesting at a party, but no so much that they build a pipeline through your house, you know what I mean?"
"So as weird as it is to say, in his own racially offensive way, Donald Trump was being woke" -- words Noah will likely never utter again.
