"Shaved But Not Forgotten" is how Henry Cavill unveiled his new face to the world in an Instagram video Wednesday.
The post came complete with a touching tribute to his lost facial hair, as well as a not-so-subtle dig at "Justice League" which did a questionable-at-best job of removing his mustache via CGI for reshoots.
Why Justice League Flopped So Hard
View StoryThe Superman star grew the mustache for his role in the forthcoming sixth "Mission: Impossible" film and sported it for months, but finally on Wednesday morning it was time to say goodbye. "I know, it's hard to recognize me without king-stache," Cavill told his IG followers earnestly. "Sometimes I even have trouble recognizing myself."
The entire video was done as dramatically as possible, with Cavill alternately staring at his reflection in the mirror while wearing a white bathrobe and towel on his head, or looking deeply into the camera. "This is not CGI," Cavill said in a clear shot at the "Justice League" effects team that did a terrible job of digitally removing the 'stache when he was called back for reshoots, leading to fan outrage and amusement from everyone else at just how unnatural it looked.

That's how you send off a mustache in style. Any chance we could reshoot those reshoots now, DC? No? Well, it was worth asking.
