Jeff Goldblum may have just crushed our dreams about the extent of his involvement in "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom."
Fans of the franchise were stoked to hear Dr. Ian Malcolm would be joining the latest blockbuster adventure, and were very pleased to see the character pop up in the trailer, but when a "Watch What Happens Live" caller asked the 65-year-old actor Monday night to spill on the extent of his role in the sequel, his answer was, uh, underwhelming.

View Story"I have a scene in front of the senatorial committee talking about dinosaurs," he said.
Translation: He makes a cameo, and his dinosaur fighting days are over. We kind of assumed that was the case, but the truth still hurts.
The caller also asked Goldblum if there was any truth to a previous comment he made on a red carpet, teasing former "Jurassic Park" co-star Laura Dern making an appearance as well.
