Ryan Seacrest was just trying to do his job on the "American Idol" finale Monday by chatting with "Bachelorette" star Becca Kufrin, but Katy Perry had her own plans.
Apparently, she's a big fan of Becca and the show, and totally needed to know if it was too late to be a part of it. The obvious answer is "yes."

View StoryAs Ryan was just setting up his discussion with Becca about her upcoming season, Katy slid out from around the judges' table and got down on her knees next to the pair. "Can I be in the running!?" she shouted the second Becca noticed her, hands clasped in prayer in front of her.
"Yes, I will give you all my roses," Becca laughed, offering Katy her hand. The pop star loved everything about it, from the scripture verse on her arm to the soft back which she kept kissing. In fact, she awkwardly would not let it go.
"I'm not single but I still like you," Katy said awkwardly ... and still a bit too loud. Poor Becca never really got a chance to say anything as Katy's obsession totally ate up all her time.
Finally, Luke Bryan had to come over and try to get her away so Ryan could get through the promo and on with the show. "Drag me," Katy insisted, and so Luke complied. Then, Katy would not get up until after they'd moved on to the next performance, simply lying there with one leg awkwardly in the air like she was a department store mannequin that had fallen over. And it's not even the weirdest thing she'd done all season.

View StoryTo Ryan's credit, he kept his composure and more importantly for the show, kept things moving.
"American Idol" should really consider buffering in some extra time for Katy's antics next season, as you just never know when she's going to decide it's time to do something really strange or really obnoxious or really uncomfortable ... or perhaps even all three at the same time.
Katy Perry will most likely not be seen on "The Bachelorette," premiering Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, as it's already finished taping. But we wouldn't be surprised if she shows up for "The Men Tell All" reunion special, invitation or not.
