"Total Bellas" ended with a baby bombshell from Nikki Bella on Sunday, and John Cena will encourage his fiancé to be "honest" with herself on next week's episode of the reality show that is chronicling the disintegration of the WWE Superstars' engagement.
"I'm thinking of getting back into therapy. I was doing so well with it when I did the therapy back in the day, I really thought I was okay not being a mom and it's just been growing in me and I've been trying to push it to the side," Nikki tells Cena in a clip from the upcoming episode.
Was THIS the Moment Nikki Bella & John Cena Called Off Their Wedding?
View StoryThe dramatic conversation is a continuation of the one the former couple was having in the last episode, which concluded with a "To Be Continued" after Cena suggested, "I'm not sure we should go through with this." In case you're just catching up, she dreams of children, he does not.
"Nicole it shouldn't be a situation of you trying to push feelings to the side," John replies. "Think of it in a different context I guess, think of it as like, 'I love this person, but I'm trying to push the but to the side.'"
"But I just can't imagine my life without you John," Nikki says through tears. "I just can't imagine not getting married and spending the rest of our lives together."
"I know, but you haven't been honest with yourself," a concerned Cena responds.
One Way Nikki Bella Frustrated John Cena During Wedding Planning Before Their Split
View StoryCena's second thoughts about marriage came at the end of Sunday's episode while exploring the venue for their since-cancelled wedding.
"For some reason since [Brie's daughter] Birdie's been born and I've spent a lot time with Birdie, it's just brought up these feelings of really wanting to be a mom and I don't know if I would regret it later on in life if I wasn't," Nikki told her fiancé through tears. "But I love you so much and I feel that's always been worth sacrificing for and I think just because we're getting married and everything's so permanent, that it's just, not that it's making me feel suffocated, but it's giving me just a bit of anxiety knowing like, okay the day 5/5 comes, that's it. Like, the mom thing's done."
This drama occurred months ago, and the couple split in April, but have since expressed interest in rekindling their romance. Now it seems that may be on the horizon.
E! News reported they were spotted together on Memorial Day, and Cena's tweet from that night is being interpreted as a nod to reconciliation.
Let's stop messing around, and start messing around.
