No, honey.
"Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness slammed Nicki Minaj Friday morning after the rapper graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar Russia. The hair guru was angry that Minaj would pose for a magazine whose country is against the LGBTQ+ community.
"Russia has anti LGBTQIA propaganda laws, Chechnya supported by Russia tortures it's LGBTQIA citizens, & w your LGBTQ+ fans you can't even speak to that in this interview bc it's illegal in Russia, what's good @NICKIMINAJ , this should've been a hard pass," he tweeted.

Although Van Ness -- who obviously is a huge advocate for gay rights -- has a large fan following, his followers (especially fans of the rapper) weren't too happy about his comments on Minaj. Many Twitter users posted photos of other celebrities who have been on the covers of the Russian publication, such as Beyonce, Bella Hadid, and Jennifer Lopez.
TooFab reached out to Nicki Minaj for comment.
Her Russian fans are actually very happy seeing her in one of their magazines for the first time. Goodbye, Jonathan.

LOVE u jonathan but shouldn't we separate the russian GOVERNMENT from the magazine company??? it's not the magazine responsible for the injustices so we can't really blame them??
@lipsmadeofcandy
You're joking right?.. coming from a Nicki Minaj fan who is also LGBTQ+ I can say we weren't offended by this at all. You're honestly disgusting for dragging her like this because you know it popular right now.

"But when Nicki does it...it's always a problem," a follower asked. "Oh, Here are a few US citizens that cover this magazine in case you didn't know. Why didnt you say anything about them?"
Van Ness replied that he wasn't just singling out the "Bed" singer and that anyone who poses or has posed for a Russian fashion mag is "equally uncool."
"Im not here for anybody doin it bae & Kate Moss & Naomi are British 😂😂 but equally uncool," he said.

Van Ness eventually posted another tweet that he didn't mean to start a Twitter war and replied to a few of the angered fans.
Anyway really happy today, didn't mean to start a Twitter war, I'm just disappointed in some people from where I'm sitting in life & start noticing things. Biggest hug to eryone
