Batwoman isn't only coming to the Arrowverse, she may just get her own show.
The comic book character was already slated to make an appearance during a DC Comics crossover event on TV in December, but The CW just announced the network is in talks for her to get her own show.

View StoryWhile the series is only in its development stages, Executive Producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns will be behind the project, with Caroline Dries ("The Vampire Diaries") writing.
"Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence," reads a press release. "But don't call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope. Based on the characters from DC."
While The CW has a robust collection of LGBTQ+ characters, Batwoman would be the first time an openly gay superhero will headline her own show. The role of Kane has not yet been cast.
