Bill Maher has given a lot of money to the democratic party in the age of President Donald Trump, and he wants all of the "rich f--ks" in Hollywood to "step up" and donate too.
It was reported by Variety earlier this week that the HBO host had donated $1 million to Senate Majority PAC, the fundraising committee dedicated to electing Democrats to the Senate. Maher, who also donated a large wad of cash to Barack Obama's campaign in 2012, expressed that it's time for the wealthy "liberals" in Hollywood to pitch in as well.

View Story"In 2012 I did it but this is different," Maher said on "Real Time With Bill Maher" Friday night. "That was for my country. I thought it was very important that the first black president get a second term, and all the money in the country was going to the Republicans."
"This time it's a little more personal," he continued. "I'm worried about this country and what's going to happen to it on a very existential level, including my own ass. I got a lot of messages from people yesterday saying 'good for you,' and I just want to say to the ones who are rich who said that: Not enough. Not enough."
The comedian went on to explain that when he first came to Southern California, he was "amazed" about how much "rich towns" that it includes, such as Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Brentwood.
"L.A. has Beverly Hills and Bel Air and Brentwood and Malibu –- it just goes on and on. Pacific Palisades," Maher said. "There's a lot of rich f--ks and this is the time to step up."

"You know, this hurts me," Maher said. "Alex Jones says I have $100 million. I don't."
While talking about the current state of the country in his opening monologue, Maher spoke about all of the Donald Trump "crime family" members getting locked up in wake former campaign manager Paul Manafort being found guilty on eight charges the same day Trump's former personal lawyer Michael Cohen struck a plea deal after copping to eight charges against him.
"You've heard of Black Friday? This week we had Orange Tuesday. They are rolling up the members of the Trump crime family," Maher said. "So many Republicans going to jail, who's going to be left to lock up Hillary? If they lock up any more white Republicans the white NFL players are going to start taking a knee."
