"He's doing him and I'm doing me," Nikki said of her current status with John.
Nikki Bella may be single but she's not ready to mingle just yet.
Over the weekend, the wrestler revealed that while she is not dating anyone currently she also hasn't spoken to her former fiance John Cena for some time now, following their very public split last April.

View Story"I made a joke about dating, Netflix and black licorice and I said how it kinda gets boring and it turned into this thing and I got quoted saying dating life is boring," Nikki told Entertainment Tonight at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival. "I was like, 'No that was about Netflix and black licorice...I mean it wasn't exciting what people were expecting, but I have to admit I am single but I'm not ready for mingling yet."
"You've gotta find yourself first," Nikki's twin Brie added. "I do," Nikki replied.
Ahead of the "Total Bellas" Season finale back in July, Nikki said that while she was "just friends" with Cena they spoke every single day. Now, however, Nikki told ET she doesn't speak with her ex at all.
"He's doing him and I'm doing me," Nikki said, adding that she's focusing on "just fully being happy."
"I feel like I'm at that age where I'm discovering who I really am and what I want out of life and just, like, independence," she continued. "It is scary and you do have these moments of like, 'What am I doing?' -- you have fear, but I just am kind of liking the challenge and that fear because it's just forcing me to be out of my comfort zone."
The WWE star said that she and sister Brie are currently filming Season 4 of their E! reality television series. Nikki teased that the new season will be "empowering," not only because Nikki is striving to "refresh her soul," but because the season will show Brie juggling motherhood with her reentry into the ring.
"We're on this incredible journey. I feel like it's going to be an empowering season," Nikki said.
Nikki added that the new season will bring "a lot of ups." It will definitely be a change from what we saw last season that showed the demise of Nikki and Cena's engagement.
Nikki and John got engaged in April 2017, after dating for over 6 years. The couple experienced issues throughout their engagement -- like John's ever-changing opinion about having kids. They called it quits in April of this year.
