Ariana Grande Breaks Silence After Pete Davidson Split: 'Time to Say Bye Bye'

Ariana Grande has finally addressed -- or at least alluded to -- her reported breakup with Pete Davidson.

The "No Tears Left To Cry" singer took to her Instagram Tuesday night to tell her fans she would be taking some time away from the Internet and social media to avoid "very sad" news. The post came just hours after making her first public appearance since the apparent split from SNL star Davidson on Sunday. The outing was for a taping of NBC's "A Very Wicked Halloween".

"ok today was v special and i'm so grateful i was able to be there," she wrote about the taping in her IG story.

"time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit," she added.

"it's hard not to bump news n stuff that i'm not tryna to see rn," she continued. "it's very sad and we're all tryin very hard to keep goin. love u. and thank u for bein here always."

Although Grande has since deleted the post from her Story, her account is still active. Before she announced her social media hiatus, the "Breathin'" crooner shared some photos of her wearing "Wicked" green lipstick, including a pic with her co-star Idina Menzel.

Grande also wrote about her excitement over taping the Halloween special on her Story.

"Can't believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today!!" she wrote. "Not today satan! Not tomorrow or the next day either not no more u can suck my big green d--k. finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye."

Fans were heartbroken when it was announced that Grande and Davidson had possibly split. There were others, however, that weren't surprised at all by the reported breakup because of the couple's very quick engagement -- they only had been dating 24 days before Davidson popped the question.

Grande has been keeping a low profile since her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose early last month. The actress did not attend the Emmys and also cancelled a performance at a charity gala Saturday (one day before the news of her and Davidson's split).
