Although Eva Marcille is now happily married, it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies getting to the altar.

"Well, I have a problem with that," Eva's mom replies. "My thing is, the people that were very involved in your life, even if it wasn't in support of you, but in support of me and dad--"
"You think that deserves an invitation to the wedding?" Eva asks.
Her mom says, "I do," and just as quickly, Eva fires back, "I don't."
The two begin to argue about how much more they'd have to pay for the extra plates, but they can't seem to reach an agreement.
"I just don't wanna feel bad," Eva says to her mom, who snaps back, "It's okay. I feel bad. You just don't want to."
"If someone feels bad on my wedding, it shouldn't be me," Eva says. Her mom doesn't reply.
"This is what I mean! And then you get silent, and it starts to make me feel bad," she adds.
"I'm not gonna have this conversation, Eva," her mom fires back in that scary mom voice we all know too well. "I'm not gonna hear it."

The two then sit in awkward silence for 10 full seconds before Eva begins to cry. She tries to keep her sniffles as quiet as possible as her mom continues to look down at her plate. After wiping away a few tears, Eva eventually stands up and announces, "I need a minute."
Her mom says nothing.
