Scheana Shay Spills on Cringe-Worthy 'Vanderpump Rules' Finale, Explosive Reunion and Relationship with Adam Spott

Unlike some of her "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars, Scheana Shay's not usually one to over-drink and embarrass herself on national television -- but all that will change when the Season 7 finale airs on Bravo later this month.

Scheana stopped by TooFab ahead of what she described as a cringe-worthy finale and explosive reunion to spill all sorts of tea. She also filled us in on the status of her non-relationship with Adam Spott, the handsome barback she once tried to set up with Brittany Cartwright.

"I don't know. It's complicated," Scheana told us when we asked where she and Adam stood today. "We try and go back to just being friends, but then we hook up again. It's been this cycle for like 10 months now, and it needs to end or become something more."

Scheana told us that last summer, while shooting Season 7, she was "more ready" than Adam was to commit to a relationship; however, he wound up surprising her with an explosive reaction to finding out she had slept with someone else. That reaction, according to Scheana, will air on the upcoming finale and serve as a major talking point during the subsequent reunion, which the cast filmed last month.

"[He gets] very angry with me in the finale," she explained. "He sees that I slept with someone else, but we're not dating! And you tell me you don't care, so I'm gonna continue to live my life and date other people. So after I saw how upset he got, I was like, 'Okay, you do have feelings. You do care, so why don't we just do this?' And he was like, 'I'm terrified of commitment. I don't know if I'll ever be ready for it.'"

Scheana said she and Adam are still in the same limbo they were in all season long and that they plan to continue doing what they're doing "until one of us hurts each other again."

"It's not going anywhere," she said with a hint of sadness. "I just hope we can stay friends. We just can't hang out five days a week because one to five of those days ends up in one of our beds."

When we asked Scheana if Adam made a cameo at the reunion taping, she said he didn't -- but that her situation with him during the finale surely did.

"You know the monkey emoji with the hands over its face? That's how I felt watching the finale," she said. "And so having to talk about that at the reunion... I got really drunk for one of the first times on camera [during the finale]. I don't drink a lot when we film because I like to just always be clear minded and remember what happened. And that night, it was just wine... it was just everything. I embarrassed myself, but it made for great TV!"

Falling back into that slightly somber voice, she added, "It was a really sad night. Like, him and I had a very tough conversation, and it got brought up at the reunion. But at this point, all I can do is just laugh. I don't usually do that, so whatever. It was my time. I had a very chill summer up until that night. I think it was just all of the tension and feelings that came out."

When we asked what else took place at the taping Jax Taylor called "the worst/best reunion we have ever had," Scheana said, "There was some physical contact that I didn't expect!"

Smiling, she said the physical contact didn't involve her. "That can mean so many things!" she teased. (While Scheana told Us Weekly the physical contact involved "Billie Lee and a few castmates," a source told the publication, "It's not what you think.")

"There was some unexpected things that happened and some expected things that happened," she told us of the reunion, adding that her seat next to James Kennedy led to several sips of wine and a few shots of tequila during breaks.

Given that information -- and the fact that James has spent the majority of this season pledging his sobriety to Lisa Vanderpump -- we had to ask if he was still on a "straight and narrow" path.

"Um, I mean, he's on a path -- it's just not straight," she said with a laugh.

Scheana said from start to finish, the reunion taping lasted a whopping 14 hours. The very next day, she and her co-stars got on a plane and headed to Las Vegas for the grand opening of Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesar's Palace.

"It was so much fun to have an event that we had to go to in Vegas together because we kind of just like kept it going," she told TooFab. "The majority of us had a great time."

Scheana also told us her often-rocky relationship with the "Wicked Witches of WeHo" -- Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney and Kristen Doute -- was better than it's ever been.

"We're all really good," she said. "We're all in a group chat that we're active in pretty much every day. We're all in a really good place, which feels good because it's been a long time since we've all gotten along at the same time. There's usually one person on the outs, and when we're all getting along we're just like, 'Is this the calm before the storm?' Season 8 -- I don't know!"
