"It's alarming that Matt walked into my home in the middle of the night, but to be honest, also, it feels good that Matt cares about me," says Kirschenheiter.
Gina Kirschenheiter says her estranged husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, snuck into her home at 1 a.m. without her knowing after she refused to answer his "12,000" calls -- but was somewhat flattered.
The shocking claim was made at the tail end of Tuesday's episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." After Gina dished to her hair stylist (she went platinum blonde and Kelly Dodd thinks it's "really ugly") that she was talking to a brain surgeon who had slid into her DMs ("Dr. Hottie"), she told Emily Simpson that Matt was "trying so hard to get back together" with her.
RHOC Recap: Tamra Drunkenly Makes Out with Braunwyn on Wild Night Out
View Story"He's like 100 percent, 'I can't be without you. We need to do this for our children. I'm heartbroken. I realize everything I've done,'" Gina told Emily while at Braunwyn Windham-Burke's daughter's fashion show. "And then we leave, and he's like, 'Gimme kiss.' He wants me to kiss him on the lips! I'm like, 'Get the f--k outta here! I'm not kissing you on the lips!'"
Gina said Matt called her "selfish" for not wanting to "try" to keep their family together, and Emily was stunned. She reminded Gina that Matt's the one who chose to get a girlfriend while he was married and said he's the one who "broke up your family."
Earlier this season, Gina revealed that Matt had had an affair right before she joined the show. To make matters worse, she said she found out that he was still dating the woman and that they exchanged I love yous.

View StorySo the day after the fashion show, Gina FaceTimed Tamra Judge while she was curling her hair. She said she was getting herself ready to meet Matt for therapy, which she made sure to note was for co-parenting and not for mending a romantic relationship.
"Wanna look super hot, but don't wanna look too hot. Don't wanna invite that in," she told Tamra, who agreed. She then revealed what had happened the night prior, after the fashion show.
"Last night, he texted me. He was in Coto," Gina explained. "And then of course I just like get snarky and blocked his phone. And then he called me 12,000 times from another number, a blocked number or whatever. I just ignored it. And then he came to my house at 1 in the morning."
"He showed up to your house unannounced? Did you answer the door?" a stunned Tamra asked.
"Well, I apparently didn't lock the door, which is bad. I know. And I usually lock up!" Gina replied. "You know why I was distracted? Because I was on the phone with Dr. Hottie!"
She continued, "Matt just came...he was upstairs in my bedroom. I didn't even know he was in the house, which is really scary."
Tamra said in the comfort of her confessional that the whole ordeal was jarring, to say the least. "This is something that's beyond comprehendable. Like, I can't even...I've never been in a situation like that, and I don't think that too many people have." To her face, though, Tamra simply asked what Matt had to say.
RHOC Recap: Braunwyn Claims Tamra and Eddie Also Have Threesomes, Emily Sets Gina Up with Taken Man
View Story"He's looking for jobs in Orange County," Gina said of the man who worked in Los Angeles and lived there part time for a good chunk of their marriage. "He's like serious."
Tamra asked if Gina would attempt to give their relationship another shot if Matt were to "get his shit together," but Gina said she was "not there at all in any way." She said she hoped the two would find out in time that they were better as co-parents and friends.
But in her confessional, Gina admitted she was somewhat flattered by Matt's -- to put it lightly -- surprise visit.
"It's alarming that Matt walked into my home in the middle of the night, but to be honest, also, it feels good that Matt cares about me," she said. "Your heart is like, 'Oh my God, I want this for you, I want this for me, I want this for us, I want this for my children,' but then your brain is like, 'Don't just fall for this romance novel situation.' Ultimately, I think I will regret it if I don't follow my heart, even if it is not the smartest decision."
On June 22, days after Gina referred to Matt as her "person" on Instagram, the two had a heated argument at Gina's home, during which Matt allegedly choked her, hit her, dragged her, threw her and threatened to kill her -- all while their three young children were asleep in the other room. Cops were called after Gina is said to have run to the neighbors for help, and Matt was arrested.
A judge immediately granted Gina a temporary restraining order. She alleged that there had been "other incidents that have scared [her] in the past...too many to remember," including an argument in August 2018 which she claims involved a shotgun.

Tamra went with her oldest son, Ryan, to go get one of his neck tattoos removed. Even though she felt like that was a sign of maturity, she still expressed genuine concern for her son, who seemed down and withdrawn. He was also wearing an American flag shirt and matching hat.
"I get it, you wanna support the President of the United States, but you're like in a Trump cult," she said to Ryan, before clarifying her own feelings on POTUS in her confessional. "I just personally have never really liked Trump as a person. I don't like his bedside manner, I don't like the things he says about women, I don't like a lot of things about him. But I can't judge my son by his love of Donald Trump."
Tamra later took Ryan to grab coffee, where she urged him to check an email she had sent him with the contact information of a life coach, who she admitted in a later confessional was a professional therapist. She said she was "scared for Ryan" and felt "something bad" was going to happen if he didn't get help.
Ryan explained "no one ever helped set me up," noting he was the product of a young single mom, whereas his siblings had the luxury of money and stability.
"I feel like I was a trial run," he told the camera. "No one prepped me for life. They got me to adult age and then that was it. You make all your mistakes with me, and everyone else got the good stuff."
'RHOC' Recap: Kelly Smacks Gina and Calls Her an Unaccomplished 'Hot Mess,' Emily Tells Gina to 'F--k Off'
View StoryAlso, at the fashion show, Braunwyn's mom had a run-in with one of the security guards, who she claims grabbed her by the arm when she went to go use the bathroom. They ended up getting into a he-said-she-said situation, but things escalated when Braunwyn's fellow mom friend got involved. She shouted at Braunwyn, Kelly and into the mic for everyone to hear. Needless to say, it was a disaster -- but somehow didn't ruin the whole show.
Emily and Braunwyn also bonded over growing up without a father-daughter connection. Braunwyn said her biological dad was a functioning alcoholic, while Emily claimed she didn't really have a relationship with hers. She said that's probably why she has so much anger and why she has so much drive to succeed on her own.
Regarding Shane, she told the camera, "Is he a good husband? Sometimes. So I obviously put the needs of my children before the needs of myself. But I'm okay with that."
"The Real Housewives of Orange County" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
