"You are a gift," fellow judge Kelly Clarkson said.
Rose Short's performance of "I Want to Know What Love Is" certainly hit all the right notes on "The Voice" last night.
The incredible singer, from Team Gwen Stefani, left her mentor in tears on Monday after her powerful rendition of the '80s ballad from Foreigner.
Viewers could tell the performance was rocking Stefani's emotions, as the camera kept cutting to her, showing Gwen's lip quivering and tears in her eyes.
Before Short even hit her final note of the song, Stefani was already out of her seat, fanning her eyes as she watched. When Rose was done, she totally lost it.
"No, I'm not ready," said Gwen as host Carson Daly tossed to her for her reaction. "Oh my god, I'm crying. That was unbelievable. I'm so in awe of you, I'm so honored to work with you. Cut the cameras!"
Fellow host Kelly Clarkson felt the emotion too, telling Short that Gwen was crying because the performance was just so "moving." She added, "You are a gift. I don't care what happens on this show, you are so blessed. That was so good."
It was a standout night for Short, who also crushed her "Express Yourself" duet with Katie Kadan. A clear front-runner in the game, Short could give Gwen her first win!
