2022 MTV Video Music Awards: Complete List of Winners

In addition to hosting the awards ceremony, Harlow joined Kendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X in leading nominations heading into the even with seven each. They were followed by Doja Cat and Harry Styles with six.

Right at the top of the show, Harlow and Lil Nas X took an early lead picking up the night's first award for their "INDUSTRY BABY" collaboration. Taylor Swift was the night's big winner, taking home three trophies for "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," including Video of the Year -- but it was Harlow who actually took home the most awards (three for his collaboration with Lil Nas X and one on his own). Harry Styles also picked up three wins.

Nicki Minaj took to the stage for an epic medley of her biggest hits before accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and nabbed another later for Best Hip-Hop. This year's Global Icon Award recipient was Red Hot Chili Peppers, presented by Cheech & Chong, which also included an epic performance -- they also picked up the award for Best Rock later in the night.

Twenty years after picking up the award herself, Avril Lavigne presented Best New Artist to Dove Cameron.
