Ramona Singer is sharing her side of the story.
A week after she announced she was leaving Mario Singer, the "Real Housewives of New York City" veteran is explaining why she decided to split from her husband of 20 years.
"Having your husband betray you is the worst feeling in the world, and I wish it on no one," she wrote on her blog. "I feel like I was emotionally bruised for the past five months by Mario…I was in a fragile state."
During the Bravo show's reunion special, Ramona tried her best to avoid any discussion about her marital woes.
The 57-year-old star even got testy with host Andy Cohen when he asked about the state of her relationship. "I want this closed down!" she said. "Stop it, Andy. I don't want to talk about it."
Ramona now admits that she regrets how she acted, saying, "I must say I was not as respectful as I should of been to Andy."
"When I filmed the reunion, Mario and I had reconciled only the month before. I so wanted to try to get our relationship back on track," she added. "Mario was extremely adamant about me not speaking about our relationship and his infidelity. This is so not who I am—I always speak freely on all subjects. I was allowing my husband to control my behavior."
