Tim Burton got high honors in Paris this week for his significant contributions to the "enrichment of French culture" -- and he gave a dig at America in the process.
Burton -- who just directed the new "Alice in Wonderland" remake -- was named an officer in France's National Order of Arts and Letters.
In his thank you speech, Burton -- a full-blooded American -- said "France has such a special place in my heart and I feel much more at home here than I do in my own country, and I always have."
Take that, U-S of A.
