"American Idol" winner Kris Allen gave 1100 elementary school children a huge surprise by making an unannounced appearance at a ceremony celebrating VH1's Save the Music Foundation in Indianapolis on Friday.
Since 2000, Save the Music along with Bright House Networks has donated over $1 million in musical instruments to restore music education to 42 Indianapolis schools.
Perhaps there's a future "American Idol" in the crowd.
